Where are they now? Psi-ops The Mindgate Conspiracy

Psi-ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy was one of my all time favorite shooter based games, and a title I still think about to this day. Unbelievably fun adventure using a wide variety of Psychic powers to burn, toss, control and dispatch your enemies. So What happened to this potential franchise?

It seems that Psi-ops was developed and published by Midway games who went bankrupt. Before bankruptcy Midway was sued by William L. Crawford III over the game for copyright infringement. The courts ruled in Midway’s favor but it may be a reason that this potential franchise was “Left for Dead” Pun intended.

Psi-ops was directed by Martin Stoltz who has since directed: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Stranglehold, and (very underrated) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

Psi-ops was written by Brian Babendererde (and maybe William L. Crawford III). Babendererde’s last credit was in 1999 for the game Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator.
